configure-20100529.tgz seems to be only 20bytes (empty gzip file) instead of containing the tar file.

Is this a problem you are aware of?

Paul (Highlander/FairLight).

Hello!

I'd like to boot GEOS from IDE64.
I downloaded the file geolink-ide64-20100603.tar.gz but it doesn't work.
The program jumps into the IDE64 monitor (BRK instruction encountered).
A friend of mine tried the same but it seems something has changed: the above file is now only 20 bytes in size!

I use my 1541U-II together with my IDE64, and the REU enabled to 16MB. Sweet :D

I am using your bootlog uptime app and it is not saving the crash reports and was wondering if you could tell me what I need to do to fix it. The screen tells me that a crash occurred but when I click on the crash link it tells me file not found.

Thanks

Hello. And Bye.

Från Brad, 2011-11-13 17:15:04

Could you add a way to either email the log or export it to text for sharing with my phone manufacturer to show how often my phone crashes?

You know you can comment on any page, not just the comments page.
But please, be sane!

Hello,

I would like to ask for the SIMM connection to the C64,what kind of SIMMs did you use? I tried this also this modd in the pas many years ago,but I can't get it to work.I was testing 72pin and also 30pin SIMMs ,maybe I had wrong type.On the SIMM there are also data parity pins, you have put them to ground or leave them not connected?
Svar: 30 pin SIMM, just ignore the parity.
The remaining adresse lines should be connected to ground or vcc, just don't have them floating.

Hello! nice blog!

Från Schema, 2010-07-12 04:43:13 on Geolink booted from IDE64

Very cool! Some suggestions...

1. The IDE64 convention for the boot file is to start it with ! i.e. rename your boot file to "!boot, prg" so it can be run with F1.

2. Can you support .D81 files? Then many more apps could be fit on the virtual disk!
Svar: 1. No problem, I thought I already did that, but obviously not this time. ;)

2. Of course. I just have to start with something, and I still have some problems with this. But emulating via d81 would be almost the same, just another offset for track/sectors.

Från sledge, 2010-06-06 08:25:15

Nice work with IDE64 and GeoLink :D
Svar: Nothing much I've done with GeoLink, it was just something to put on the d64 image...
The "magic" I've done is with GEOS and Configure.

It would be great to publish the schematics of SIMM memory for C64!
I'm sure everyone will be very grateful!
Svar: The simm wiring is straight forward. Just leave out the left over adress lines and connect them to ground or vcc. If you have 8 dram chips just connect one data line to each socket. If you have 2 chips just connect 4 data lines to each sockets.
The interesting part is still to be done; a cpld to decode the whole meg of the simm. THAT is interesting stuff!

Från [XC3N], 2009-01-14 17:32:10

Hej!

Can't wait to build my own USB64 SID Slave!!!

Are you posting schematics and software soon?

Tak så mycket!
Svar: I don't really have any schematics, as I built it right away on a breadboard, happy hacking you know.
But it's quite easy with a ftdi 245 chip and two 74ls... chips to decode the adress and latch the output from the ftdi.
But sure, I'll do some schematic some day.
As for software I've sent a patch to goattracker, while the server on the c64 is just a matter of reading adress/data-pairs, and that one will be published here aswell...
both binary and source.

Från hyde, 2008-09-12 11:42:16

fin plotter!
Svar: Jovisst är den, synd bara att det inte var jag som byggde den. Han byggde en hel del andra coola saker oxo.
